Despatch pod 232

This model was built for the Empire Strikes Back. Its time on screen is very short and most of the fans wouldn't recognize this model as being a model from Empire.

Why 232 ? Because the body is made from 5 1/35 Tamiya SdKfz 232 hulls. A very few pictures of the 232 and 223 pods exist. As far as I know, those models never were in tour. They're in the Archives, in a poor state.

This model is full kitbashing. The main body is made from 5 hulls of German armored cars. The clear hemis and the green parts are the correct plastruct parts, as used on the original. Fitting the hulls was quite a challenge.

The base coat is applied. I used one of my ref pics that I scaled up (using kitparts as gauge) with Illustrator then I drew the markings over the pic. I printed them on masking tape and I used them as maskings.

Pictures of the finished model. The model received and heavy wash then I toned it down with a mist of base coat.
